I wear loose clothing and apply peppermint and lavender essential oils to my ms hug area. It really helps me!

Concentrate on your breathing. Nice easy long deep breaths. Each breath should last 3-4 seconds. When I get an MS hug I notice my breathing is shallow and short. Relax.

I thought same thing @A MyMSTeam Member as it was only on left side then later on only on right side but was in rib cages. I asked my MS Neuro about and he said oh couldn't be the MS hug as that is actually like someone giving you a bear hug! Himmp well I beg to differ I was doing PT for drop foot at time and felt like the therapist had best explainaton she said with MS seems it's like the nerves or muscles are being pulled apart! As a high school gymnast whose had shin splints (if anyone has had that) I think that's what it feels like it's in ribs instead of shins. My high school coach said with shin split the muscle is actually pulled away frm the shin bones and to me that's what those felt like
