Can anything be done to report abusive neurologists? I had a neurologist in the emergency room who was mentally abusive and when. I spoke to the emergency room they refused to give me his name. I want a grass roots advocacy group for the US to help us deal with our insurance-based system.
I plan to write to my legislators.

State licensing boards will handle all sorts of complaints.
I am sorry that you went through this but I have dealt with dicktors (yes, that was intentional. Trying to create a new word! :) ) The big thing to remember is to never give up. The AMA is actually pretty easy to deal with by my understanding. Good luck!

Every hospital has a public relations department...........I would (and have) contact them. If you don't get any satisfaction, write or call your governor, they should point you in the right direction:)

I was thinking about your question and had an idea. Go to the hospital administration, tell them your story with date and time you were there. Insist they look up your records (prefferably there in front of you), and get some type of reprimanding action going. Hope this helped.
I would go directly to the administrator as well. Be persistent!!!
