I am struggling with a swollen foot/ankle and it's hot and painful. Does anyone else have these symptoms ????

Feet and ankles always swollen but feel cold to me yet hot to touch by other people. Pain mostly from tightness of the skin. Neuro and ms nurse say it's a common factor as nerve ending not correctly regulating blood pumping. Hope this helps to know you are not alone and it is probably just the MonSter within us unfortunately.

I think if it's hot and swollen then it needs checking out for a DVT (deep vein thrombosis) ..... It can't wait so you need A&E! Better safe than sorry and you don't want a clot moving around (if that's what it is) .... Good luck but get it checked urgently xxxx

Just swollen could water retention but hot and sore you better watch not DVT or clot. Don't mean to panic you but hot and sore you should get checked asap. Best to be safe than sorry.
Good luck Mrs

Hi Pmn76- I spend a lot of time on the laptop, and because i have bad circulation in my feet, my ankles swell, my GP stated, as a few here mentioned, raising my feet on the bed, above my heart. Wishing you a lovely Xmas, and may 2017, be everything you had hoped for. xox

My legs were very swollen from the knees down which turned out to be some sort of oedema. I've been wearing a sort of flight socks ever since which work really well. See a doctor about it, they will check what it is and get you measured up for some socks (they're called stockings but I can't bring myself to use that term!) Hope you get over it soon. Keep your legs up in the meantime
