Also does anyone have around 20 brain lesions? What symptoms do you deal with? Example: Anxiety, depression, cognitive issues, memory problems, high inflamation levels, kidney issues, ect...
The number is in significant as lesions come and go. As LisaWurthmann has already stated it's the location the lesions . Along with how well your body is able to repair some of the myelim sheath damage that determines the symptoms experienced. Yes your body can repair the myelin sheath to a point. How well your body can do this also accounts for the variance and degree of symptoms from one person to another.
You are right. It is not the number that counts but the location. That's why everyone has various symptoms and in varying degrees
I've never been told how many lesions I have just told some. If I ever see a neurologist again I will have to ask
The reason I asked is because when the Dr's saw the amount of lesions at the age of 30 they began to explore the possibility of Lupus. Now I understand thanks to your answers. I have lesions in the MS areas and others that are not. My blood work and other symptoms are what lead them to look at Lupus because it also causes brain lesions. Thank you for helping me understand.
