Hello everyone!!!
I was diagnosed with RRMS about a year and 2 months ago, so I am still learning about this awful disease.
I started with pledgridy then was switched to Techfidera and then 3 months ago to Tysabri even though I am JCV positive. My Dr said the MS is breaking through all the drugs, which is why they have me on Tysabri. This scares me, is this normal?
So, one of the issues I have all the time is muscle spasms.
Today my lower back tightened up really bad, like contractions while in… read more
I was on tysabri for 2 years. My hands are always cold. My fingernails turn blue. But sometimes it feels like the top of my feet are on fire.

Click link. Look up lhermittes syndrome. It happened when you were doing dishes, so looking down. My doc gave me an RX for carbamazepine. Advised to take it a week b4 infusion if problem continues, as tysabri starts to lose some effectiveness a week b4 infusion. Hope this helps. Btw. Mine kinda stopped, for now, without adding meds but happened both times looking down, once to open door, and once to look at phone.
I'm on Tsyabri also and tested JC positive before beginning
I'm thankful for your input about feet as I've really noticed more than before how my feet feel like they are freezing but yet if I touch them they feel warm
As yours are changing color I would definitely run that by the doctor though
And I'm sorry to hear about the spasms
I thought I had a circulation problem too. But did stress test and echocardiogram, no blockages heart is strong. I learned one thing many years ago even before MS. Quite simply put, if you can fix it, don't worry about it. If you can't fix it don't worry about it. Worrying never solved anything.
The issue with you feet discoloration may be associated with a blood circulation issue being that it goes away when you rise you feet. You should discuss this with you're doctor as it could be a non- MS issue that needs to be addressed separately. One of the things that I always stress to anyone living with MS is that DX'ing what is or is not symptom of MS is not an exact science. More often than not other things have to be ruled out first before it can be a considered an MS symptom. A circulation issue is not something to be ignored.
Muscle spasms or Spasticity which is the medical term is a common symptom of MS and there are ways of treating it. Here's a link that you should read http://www.nationalmssociety.org/Symptoms-Diagn...
