Who takes fentanyl pain patch Do you like it , dies it make you itch
That's a common side effect of alot of pain meds. Doesn't really have anything to do with adhesive part. Pills and IV administration cause the same itching along with constipation.
I don't use the fentanyl patch but my mother does for chronic pain. She is allergic to all but the name brand the adhesives in the others break her out and make her itch. But the name brand does not.
I had. It was incredibly helpful but I wasn't able to get it any longer. Opiates can cause itching. It's part of the treatment and should subside.
I use a fentynal patch, I have not had any type of reaction to it. I would mention it to your Doctor. It could be a possible allergic reaction. Best to check with the Doctor.who prescribed it! Good luck. Let us know how you make out! Hugs to you. Happy, tues.!!
There's no doubt that Fentanol works. I've been on almost every opiate there is. My pain was so bad it brought me to tears. Pain management tried everything before giving me opiates. But that was the only thing that worked. But, there's a HUGE downside. After 20 plus years on them, I'm physically addicted. It's been a nightmare, trying to get off. But I did, three years ago. To be fair, my pain isn't as bad as it was. I was diagnosed in 1989, before there were any treatments for MS. I'm lucky and grateful for the advancements made in medical science. I've been on seven disease modifying agents, and now I'm on Mavenclad. It's basically halted all my symptoms, including the pain I wish you a lot of luck. Please don't take this decision lightly
God bless you
