I am very sensitive to heat. That was one of my first signs something was wrong. I always loved the heat and would sit out in 90° plus in the sun. I first thought it was because I had gained weight. When I get overheated I lose muscle control, get weak and let feel as if I might pass out, it's never happened though. If I can get cooled off fast, I recover within an hour. Sometimes I will be wiped out the rest of the day. Went on a carribean cruise a couple of years ago and got overheated on one of the islands and it affected my vision - everthing got blurry, it recovered after I got back to the ship, cooled off and rested, but it really scared me. I purchased a cooling vest and it has been my lifesaver on hot days and I always take it on vacation.

Heat sensitivity has been a nightmare for me. Can't be in over 85 degree weather for very long. Drinking lots of ice water has helped. The effects of over heating for me is feeling week, disoriented and have vomited on a couple of occasions. These happened after I ate a light meal on a hot day. So, I watch what i eat during hot weather.

I am pretty sure you can get a cooling vest through the MS SOCIETY. SHARED SOLUTIONS also has those cooling neck bands that are wonderful. It's not fun when the heat proves how strong it is. God bless you.
