My right hand has been numb ever since I was diagnosed with MS. However, my left hand is the same it has always been, no affect to it..

I have that now I take Gabapentin which is the generic brand of Neurotin. It is not a cure it just makes me fall asleep so I do not feel it because I'm knocked out. Sometimes I get a really bad swelling feeling and burning in my hands and it does sort of help with relieving that pressure.

The feeling I have is not numbness, but best I can compare it to is the electrical shock one gets from licking a nine volt battery. (It's a young boy thing) I have this feeling from the elbows down daily. I need to concentrate heavily whenever grasping something or carrying something as I do not have a true feel.
Was taking Gabapentin for a while but it made me extremely tired and I experienced itching in the face and swelling.
So stopped and get by the best I can. Less inconvenient.
