In the house, I am usually barefoot...and have been wearing Nike Free's for years (because they are light!). But now with drop foot I had to get an AFO...which makes the Nike's Frees too short from the top to the insole...even with the standard insole taken out. :-( All the extra deep shoes look too clunky, heavy, and with too thick of soles. Has anyone found something that works well with an AFO?

AFO: Ankle Foot Orthosis. I wear one! :) I just discovered Brooks. I had New Balance, but Brooks is my new fave. (I have had a bunion for years and plantar fasciitis so was already buying wide shoes and orthotics with the New Balance brand).
