Has anyone experienced lhermittes syndrome? It's like an electric shock sensation in your spine when you tilt your head to look down. Does anyone have any tips to make it stop? Certain stretches or something like that?

I've never heard that term before! I've had little electrical sensations at different times in my neck but never down into my spine, they never lasted very long I knew it had to do with my MS but my neuro never referred to it as LHermittes syndrome! Thanks for the heads up!! I do use gabapentin also for the tingling sensation I get in my hand!! It does help!!

I had L'Hermittes syndrome back shortly after I was first diagnosed. I called my neurologist and told him I had electric sensations when I bent my head forward. He said it was L'Hermittes syndrome and typical of MS. I asked him what could be done for it. He said: don't bend your head forward. I've never heard any other treatment advice. I was lucky, because it went away relatively soon after that. Hope this helps.

I used to have that. Gabapentin made it go away. It hasn't come back yet.

I had it 2 years ago, a 3 day course of prednisolone sorted it out (so far)
