Does your MS effect your work out or weight loss? I'm losing weight but not getting buff at all. Can anyone help me with that? Or at least tell me how to loss back , butt , and thigh fat ? I'm at a loss here plz help plus loose skin sucks.....
If you want to lose weight you must burn more calories than you take in. Loosing weight in specific areas can be done by doing exercises that target those areas. The exercises should be light weight high reps. Best for butt thighs is simply bike riding. If you want muscle mass heavy weight low reps just 3-5 for 3 sets. And protein is important. Your body can only use 18 grams of protein at a time. Either way you get out of it what you put into it.
The burn more calories than you take in isn't necessarily accurate. Quality of calories makes a huge difference. (Think of it like drinking crystal clean spring water vs polluted nasty puddle water-- huge difference as to health benefits...)
Look up sane solutions (the calorie myth by johnathan bailor) or wahls protocol (and ted talk by terry wahls). This method (sane) helped me a ton with gestational diabetes and I think inadvertently helped with my ms too. Wahls doesn't seem much different than sane (level 1 wahls anyway- and lev 2 is still "sane" just specifies more things like seaweed and organ meats that are not specifically listed in sane.) and I felt so much better when I kept to it.
The basic idea is lots of non starchy veggies, lean protein, whole food fats and low fructose fruits. You end up eating a LOT but it's a lot of good stuff. Avoid grains, processed foods and other starches like bread, potatoes, rice and pasta.
Great side effect the pounds melt away. I didn't gain a pound during my pregnancy and my baby grew so I actually lost weight. This was with no exercise added at all. Sane has some exercises that work with 2 days a week of eccentric exercise that works great. Wahls has exercises that might work better with ms limitations.
i workout almost everyday, im considered a little too thin for my height, actually trying to put healthy weight on. my chiropractor has me adding healthy fats( peanutbutter to my oatmeal). also lifting heavier, instead of low weight/high reps!
Loose skin. Difficult one
I'm might have it surgically cut off
Rat healthy. Yoga or simple stretching is what I do
