It worked miracles for me in the hospital. Those steroids gave me such a bad attitude, and the doc suggested Klonopine. Turned out to do the trick.
Klonopin actually builds up in your system and psychiatrists usually give it to people who they believe had chronic anxiety. It's not usually a prn. You usually get Ativan or Xanax for anxiety prns. They are quick acting and short lived. You might want to talk to your provider about this. I'm not a professional anymore so maybe
Benzodiazepines do help. But some non benzodiazepines are addictive as well. Other than waiting for your body to adjust to meds no side effects .
it's a "benzo" (benzodiazipine) ppl dont think of it as one because it doesnt have a "zepam" on the end of the brand name. valium=diazapam klonipin=clonazepam versed=Midazolam ativan= lorazepam they can be addictive (that's the major side-effect) they are dangerous because of this. ive spent 25 years working on an ambulance as a paramedic and have given valium, versed and ativan to dozens of ppl (for seizures, anxiety/agitation/violent behavior/sedation)
When I took Klonopine, it made me feel like a zombie. To me, it was too weird. I used to smoke pot now do edibles, those make me lighter, happier, and more thought out. If I panic or have anxiety, I have Ativan. 🤗
