Mine too! They told me I had TM and when the doctor pulled up Wikipedia to tell me what it was, I decided to get a second opinion, which turned out to be MS.

One lesion will be called Transverse Myelitis. Multiple lesions (multiple scars) they call MS. And yes you will have MS symptoms from Transverse Myelitis. In fact my first diagnose was Transverse Myelitis. Then when they found multiple lesions in the ole brain they changed it to MS.

1 lesion for every 10 years of life is actually considered normal. Lesion load and symptoms are used for diagnosis but the spinal tap is the difinative answer.

I had a spinal tap and they found 9 bands. That's when I got the official diagnosis.
