Supposedly mega doses (300 mg-100 -3 x a day) is beneficial to MS progressive patients. I saw my neurologist a few days ago and he was pushing OCREVUS. I am currently on COPAXONE and based on their testing and my demeanor I was progressing. He had said that it takes 3-5 years from a 3rd clinical test, Biotin is in that, at this time.
I started taking 20 MG a day of Biotin,
Does anyone have any history with Biotin? There are no side effects.
Metabiome.com is who I get mine from. $39.95 for 1 bottle (90), $35.95 for 3, $31.95 for 6. It's run by a pharmacist that has MS and her MS specialist. Their purity is very high but can't remember offhand.
The recommended dosage is 100mg taken 3 times per day, so yes, the $40.00 is for 90 capsules.
Here is a link for the Facebook group for Biotin and PPMS / SPMS. This is the best source for information regarding Biotin and the progressive forms of MS. The proper compounded 100mg capsules of Biotin can now be purchased for as low as $40.00 per month, without the need of a written prescription.
Biotin has not been tested with RRMS.

I took biotin to help my hair and nails grow. After 2 weeks I had a terrible itching rash. Dermatologist said some people are allergic to biotin and of course I was.Just thought I would mention it.
Good luck
THANK YOU!
