If I wear shoe's It feel like brick's on my feet. Around the house I wear crock's no sock's. I can handle that for a while, then the slipper's come out. If I go out I just deal with it in my very light sneaker's. Hate Shoe's, They feel like Brick's on my feet......

Great question! Shoes used to be my thing. I recently got rid of a bunch of my awesome but now impractical high heeled shoes. Felt good to pass them along to someone else that can actually enjoy them and put them to good use. I also switched to better shoes - not necessarily orthopedic, but just better quality comfort-wise. When I did this, my foot pain went away. The challenge is, I'm a sandal and flip flops girl....luckily I found a great brand (Vionic) that has supportive and still cute flip flops. I am finding most recently that it's most important to me to really be able to feel the ground - I feel most secure that way. So I now have regressed and am usually wearing the Hoy Saltwater Sandals that I used to wear as a kid! They have super thin soles, but they are enough to protect your feet from sharp objects, and the leather straps are super comfortable and conform to your feet. They are great in the water, and I even hiked 7 miles in them a couple weeks ago with no issues. Thank goodness they make them in adult sizes! :-) Around the house I prefer to be barefoot, but I try to at least wear socks when it's not too hot. When standing for a long time (like when doing dishes at the sink since I am the dishwasher) I got a comfy mat to stand on and that really helps with fatigue but also keeps me comfortable.

I can't hold the flip flop's on my feet, so I use crock's. Have to have my ultra light sneakers to drive n go anywhere. As soon as I get home the brick's come off. At first I was not sure it was painful , but Very Very un-cumpfy....Yea bare foot when I can....

Shoes make my feet sore and tired and no shoes or slippers makes me feel the ground and all the dirt, unevenness and what not that also hurts. Feet pain is just about always there for me.

I look at all my shoes in the closet longingly... can't wear them. If it is a sandal, it starts going sideways, if it is a boot, it won't pick up and I stumble, if it is a sneaker, it gets got and my toes tingle and go numb, if is my uggs.. no problem, as long as it is winter.. if my flip flops.. issues.. but only needed for short trips out. If a nice slip into..i slip right back out of. I did find a pair of bobs that are similar to crocs/ slippers that are light weight and my trusty stand bys..

I must wear shoes because I have osteoarthritis and need to protect my feet and use orthotics in my footwear
