Has anyone tried Neuro Acupuncture out in CA or New Mexico? I've been looking into these 2 locations/doctors and it sounds interesting.
I have a great place I go in the Bay Area. It's helped with all my symptoms tremendously! Wishing the same for you.... XX

I'm looking into flying out to see the dr. Jason Hao in New Mexico. He seems to have helped a few people with MS. I've searched for a specialist in my area Maryland that say they do the same but when I talk to them it's not the same at all. So I've actually made an appt today to go out the 2nd week in November if not they could only see me in Jan and that's too far out.
I'm just very confused ABOUT this MS. One dr says yes I have it another says No that it was Lymes. I did 1 yr I.V antibiotics and never got any more lesions..fast forward at John Hopkins I just had A FULL SPINAL FUSION and he tells me my drop foot and rt side weakness is from MS and now I have a neurologist also at hopkins and she says that my MRI have been stable and unchanged since I did the lymes treatment back in 2013 and she says the weakness I have is due to my spinal fusion. So you see I'm very confused. All I know is walked into surgery and know I can barely walk. SO that is why I want to go out to see this Dr,
Oh yea I haven't been on MS meds since 2012 was diagnosed end of 2010.
@A MyMSTeam Member it has definitely helped me! I used to get horribly itchy - UNBEARABLY itchy....and acupuncture fixed that almost entirely. We've done all sorts of interesting things: cupping, spooning, and of course, the needles pretty much everywhere. What I really love about Lokahi is that the first 10 minutes of every appointment is spent talking about how I'm doing. She asks a TON of questions, and then tailors her treatment accordingly. I went weekly for 3 months - and now we're tapering to see how long I can go with minimal symptoms between visits. I went for 3 weeks, that was too long, so now I'm going every other week. She's working with one of my doctors on a detox plan. I love that they communicate about me and create a care plan together. I do think where you go matters. I did a groupon once a few years ago and I didn't notice any changes. In all fairness, I also only speak English so there was a language barrier and it was difficult to communicate my symptoms. Anyways, I leave every appointment feeling so relaxed. I hope you have a similar experience! Tell them I sent you! :-)
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!! I will look into it... I've read several items about how it can help and I'm excited about it. Its actually good to know someone that has had a positive experience.

You can make an appt online and read about all of their various services. There are also write ups about each of the practitioners there. I see Ann Marie. She was recommended to me by one of my DRs at Stanford (who also has MS). But everyone is great there (check the yelp reviews!) - and Jeanine who works at the front desk will help match you up with the person who is the best fit for your specific needs since they may be different than mine. Good luck with everything!! XX
