I've tried working out but always end up feeling worse afterwords. I do swim however going to a public pool is costly. Any ideas would be helpful.
Definitely try MS gym online - the exercises are ver "do-able" ! They really understand the limitations MS symptoms can cause. I also go to neuro Pilates - and after six week course I'm feeling more confident and learning about my body more every week!
Exercise is the monster in the closet who haunts all of us...
I highly recommend that anyone with MS should join The MS Gym. Trevor is the first therapist that I have seen who truly understands the unique problems that we encounter because of MS. He has specific exercises that address foot drop, spasticity, balance and all of the special challenges that we face.
He has also just recently developed a specific program, along with a very powerful message, for those who are walker or wheelchair bound.

Yoga and Pilates is fab for keeping elasticity. Tried spinning (loads) but my legs do not do as I ask. Tried aerobics but I get too out of breath. Still can’t get up the stairs without massively tired legs and get out of breath. I try to do 7000 steps a day (10000) recommended in the UK but I don’t always manage it. I do yoga and Pilates approx twice a week. I can’t swim or run as they also make me tried and out of breath. I can’t warm to the MS Gym as recommended by others. Get a Fitbit with her monitor (charge 2) as it helps track your fitness and heart. Good luck in finding something that works for you!
Was that a specialized type of gym? When went to one, the therapist watched me ride a recumbent bike. She watched me to get over plopping into a chair. That was it. I never went back.
Thank you everybody. I will look into everything
