I was searching this forum and see that others have posted complaints of shoulder blade pain. I have this bad pain right below my shoulder blade in the back rib area around my rhomboid muscle for a couple of years. Has anyone had relief from this kind of pain. Neuro says it’s nerve damage. I’m on Neurontin and recently started Cymbalta but so far no relief. Has anyone gotten any lasting relief from this pain? I have that problem ; with the extreme tightness also,,,My doctor has given me a cortisone shot there before!
I now use tizantine , muscle relaxer for spasms too,, I can only take half of the 4 mg pill because it knocks me out if I take a whole one!
Nerve stuff unfortunately is a MS thing. Just try to use meds to settle it's effects. This will make your quality of life so much better.
Try stetching out the rhombiod area. Could give some relief. Baclophen helps a lot for the muscle spans. Sure helped me.

The area under my shoulder blade hurts all the time too. I have never mentioned it to the neurologist because it never occured to me that it might be related to MS. Thanks.
