SSI disability
No but once you go on SSDI youhave to stop working. If your trying to get SSDI get a lawyer. I got approved in 3 months. The lawyer dis all the work and it didnt cost me a dime. The only time a lawyer willcharge you is if you get turned down and they have to go to court for you. Even then they are only allowed to charge you so much according to law.
@A MyMSTeam Member, that's what I did to. And I got mine in 4 months. I did mine under mental, my social anxiety, etc. My lawyer said that a judge does not know how to fix a brain, but physical ailments can be treated. Get a good Psychiatrist, then a good lawyer.
I'm just being a smartie but I think from what I see these days- you also have to be missing all 4 limbs n blind before (maybe) receiving SSI n that's only after multiple denials n years of living homeless on the streets.
I certainly hope not for anyone n Wish you all the Best of Luck through the process!
Happy New Year!
PS... Please don't let my crassness discourage you from applying. It's just the system is a hardship that it should not be...
As far as I know...yes. I believe at least 1 year.
