Does any one else feel guilty for feeling poorly? I feel like I have to explain myself constantly... some of this is because of myself.. some of the guilt comes from how people react to me. I just wish I could let go of the guilt. I’m a smart, logical person.. I know I control my moods, but I let this guilt feeling get to me. I dislike when people don’t understand. Anyone else feel the same?
I only felt guilty in the first decade or so...I was still working as a street policeman, I effectively had a 'hero badge' but wasn't ill? I used to feel a terrible guilt when I met others with MS, who physically were 'worse'. Life has a great way of opening your eyes!
I wonder if it would help allay their fears if they went with you to your next doctors appt and asked some of their questions and learned more from your doctor?. Understanding of MS can help with the fear a lot!! 😍
I feel guilty and I hate asking for help I'm 38 with 3kids1whch passed away 5years ago which took a huge impact on my girls lives they are now 13 and 17 I so want them to have a normal stable life but I'm having the worst attack ever and I know they are as scared as I am just don't want to put them through this
I feel guilty sonetimes for not being more active. I should exercise every couple days even for just a few min, but im too tired. I want to save my energy for doing the things i need to do and look after my house, dogs, get groceries. Ive done it all up to my diagnosis 2 yrs ago, then tried to continue doing it all but could not. I feel like ive given in to my ms in a way. But im listening to my body. Its tired. But i know eventually it will not be the best choice for my overall health.
For the fist five years my family didn’t understand. Thankfully now they know my limits. For me I call it TMI (To Much Information.) to mauch To much light, To much sound. No drinking so I can avoid looking for a bathroom. Never knowing if I am going to be to hot or to cold. I think my guilt of being sick left with the second wife. It is Not Our fauilt!
