So is MS why I’ve had tight muscles all my life? I get regular massages and have always been told I have really tight muscles. Is this because of MS?
So if a person hits the right dose on their muscle relaxer will it stop or decrease? Is that why no amount of stretching seems to help?
Same here when massaged was always told had serious knots.I now know it was MS.
Muscle relaxers did not work for me. But thats me
Yes!!! I was a super star track runner and started lifting weights in the early 1970’s so I would get those horrible cramps back then and in my 20’s when I got pregnant I’d wake up screaming with cramps in my legs. And yes, my massage therapist’s more then a dozen different one have told me how tight my body was! Thanks everyone for sharing and asking questions because it educates me everyday of past experiences that was never explained or I just thought it was just me.
Such a great question!!! I've been wondering about this, too! I used to get horrible muscle cramps in my calves and the arches of my feet - from about age 10. It made things like windsurfing, which I loved, REALLY hard because you rely on your foot strength to maintain your balance on the board. I would get these horrendous cramps in my arches and would have to hang out in the water and wait for them to subside before I could keep windsurfing. This was decades before my MS diagnosis - and later, after I tore both rotator cuffs in my early 30's, windsurfing just didn't seem like a very good idea anymore..... I, too, have been told by massage therapists and even manicurists that I need to relax my muscles (LOL, and I thought I was!). I thought everyone dealt with that kind of muscle pain and tightness. But the more I learn about this disease (diagnosed 2 years now), I think I've been suffering through a lot of things related to MS for a very long time..... Thanks for posing the question. I'm sorry you have the same issue, but thankful I'm not the only one. XX
