I have a question: If I have to take a low dose AB each day for UTI prevention, should I be taking a Probiotic?

Thanks my friend, I don't know a lot about these things,,,I'm very skittish about mixing meds-always have been, but should they be taken at the same time or put some time between them? And what about cranberrys? Keep taking, munching on them or what?

Antibiotics destroy your normal gut flora and the probiotics will help to replenish it. My experience has been that doctors will not tell you to do this but when I’ve asked about it then they have responded that it’s a good idea—go figure.

Why not? Can't hurt. I take probiotics daily since gut health is so directly tied to our immune systems.

Probiltics and prebiotics (yogurt) also take 20 mg pepcid right before you got to bed. That combination works like a charm.
