Ask about Myasthenia gravis (MG), an autoimmune disease that mimics MS.
“The muscles around the eyes tend to be affected first, causing the eyelids to droop. Patients may experience double vision, weakness in the arms and legs, and difficulties chewing, swallowing, speaking, and breathing. Involuntary muscles, such as the heart muscles, are not affected.”

Have you asked the Doctor if it could be Bells Palsy and not your MS ?
Probably makes you feel like a bit of a human pin cushion. I've not had the facial numbness and tongue numbness, but I know others who have. I'd probably go ahead and get the second MRI to see if there was significant change. Can they do anything in the meantime like give you steroids? Was there anything going on in your life that might have made things worse (stress, etc.)? I would probably look back over the past few months and try to pinpoint things that might have been going on that I wasn't paying attention to that might have impacted my body's response. Good luck!
