I look at it this way. If I get an MRI, and the Doctor calls the next day (which he has done in the past) and starts me on steroids. It’s not a good MRI. If I get an MRI and I don’t hear from the Doctor, it’s a good or usual MRI. When I say “usual” I’m referring to same lesions nothing has changed.

I know it can be exhausting to get these reports - much less trying to get a sense of what the "news" means before you get into the doctor. The most important thing, in my experience, is HOW YOU FEEL and WHAT THE DOCTOR SAYS. In the meantime, when you take out the FLAIR jargon (Fluid-attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR) is an MRI sequence with an inversion recovery set to null fluids. For example, it can be used in brain imaging to suppress cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) effects on the image, so as to bring out the periventricular hyperintense lesions, such as multiple sclerosis (MS) plaques.) It looks like you may have some new activity and a increase in size of at least one or two existing lesions. HOWEVER, don't panic. Talk to your doctor. Size, and number, is not the only thing that is important. It's like real estate, location, location, location makes a difference too. My doctor told me, many people don't even get diagnosed until they have well over than 30 lesions. Brain lesions are different than spine lesions, and so on. Good luck. Remember, don't panic!
