Mid Back Muscle Spasms
Hey Everyone ~ I am new to this site but was diagnosed with MS in my Brain back in January 2016. My father has it in his spine since 2004 - I have experienced middle to my left side back spasms like 3 times within the year to the point i am in the er having tests and nothing can be found. anyone else been through this??? They only happen every 5-6 months and last about a few hours of the spasms ( like contractions every min to min and half )...
Hi all, I feel for all of you. I myself have spasms. I have tried all of the above. My pain doc introduced me to Theraworx. It is over the counter about 19.99 at Walmart. I could not believe that in about 3 minutes the spasm was gone. I have suffered with spasms my whole life. I continue on Tizanidine but I tell you spend the $20. You will not believe it. If you use it every day, they go away. I hope it works for you. Bless all of you. I have rrms, since 1990. Leslie

Yes I go thru what you are describing several times a year. My MS team was saying “this isn’t MS” they should wear shirts that say “This Isn’t MS”‼️ However, I continued to pursue the “BURNING TINGLING PAIN” in my lower back. It hurt to ambulate or turn. Finally, after pushing and persistence the lead Dr sent me to Rehab. There they helped me with techniques to stretch my back and legs. My legs would get cold with certain stretches but eventually we got there. Physical Therapist are amazing with the body. You can learn a lot with the right ones. I hardly ever witness them being dismissive. Good Luck 👍🏽 on finding your healing place.
This symptom is probably one of the worst recurring ones since I was diagnosed in 1988. It disrupts my sleep, causes me to catch my breath, and is quite painful. There have even been times that I was unable to stand up straight because the spasm was so tight. I refuse to use prescription narcotics because I know the risk of addiction. So the methods for relief that I have used are regular physical activity, intense physical therapy when needed, and CBD oil. Whenever I feel a spasm starting I simply put 5 drops of the oil under my tongue and within 30 minutes it's gone. Many are afraid to use this oil, but it has been a blessing for me. For better, continuous sleep my neurologist prescribed Mirtazipine which helps me wake without the "hangover" feel and I actually feel like my body rested. Prayers for all that suffer from this issue. We might have MS...but don't let MS have you!!
Oh yes!!! I couldnt stop eating whilst on Gabapentin!!! Not worth it for me at least as it never really helped anyway and honestly - I was eating anything I could get my hands on!!! Love and healing prayers to all of you x x x
