Ok. So I have “issues with gluten”. Not officially diagnosed with Celiac but I was lactose intolerant big time and 6 months after I quit eating gluten it reversed, completely. If I accidentally eat gluten now I suffer for days- including feeling like I am trying to pass broken glass through my lower intestines. I can’t be tested officially because that would require eating gluten to see if my body creates the antibody marker used for diagnosis.

I am officially diagnosed with MS by lumbar… read more

I do think sugar is an inflammatory! I still have some though..but this isnt an everyday thing. I dont drink pop/soda or eat candy. Sugar is in everything! I eat fruit for other benefits and probably always will.

I've definitely noticed huge changes (for the positive!) since I changed my diet and have been eating following the MITO food plan. My integrative med DR at Stanford (who incidentally also has MS) suggested it for me as she and many others have successfully slowed progression through diet. I started about a year and a half ago - no new symptoms since, and a drastic improvement in the symptoms I do have. XX

I enjoy all kinds of good healthy foods. Improved eating habits have helped my MS/ For me...no gluten or sugar (I do eat and love fruit) And I put sugar free creamer in my coffee. I also take supplements. This is just what has worked for me, working through an MS diagnosis 18 years ago.

There isn’t a cure for MS. Lots of people will tell you there is but there isn’t. Just a matter of finding what works for you. I also suffer with gastroparesis, believed to be brought on by MS. I could not eat for months before getting a gastric pace maker. Due to lack of nutrition I lost a lot of hair, muscle and stamina. What what you eat find what works for you but be careful of depriving yourself of food. You need nutrition to keep up your strength.
