Wondering if this is a common side effect? Been on copaxone daily injection 20mg since May. I already have thin hair, but went to the hairdresser today and she showed me, my hair is SUPER thin!! Then got to thinking, could this be a side effect of copaxone? Has anyone else experienced this?? Does it get better? Does it get worse? Any info would be greatly apprecitated!! Thanks 😊

I experienced a lot of hair loss for several months probably a year or so after I started Copaxone. I was told it was completely unrelated and was more than likely stress related. Regardless, it stopped falling out and regrew so in the end my hair was back to normal.

Thanks so much for all the replies. Im starting to think that β€œThey” dont know much, and grasp at anything β€œWe” tell them. I feel more confident with eveyones input on this site than the doctors and nurses I deal with. Thanks Again!! Merry Christmas!!! πŸŽ„πŸ˜Š

What I can say about Copaxone, I no longer take it because my body seemed to develop sensitivity to it. It burned when ever I injected it. I have permanent indents where I injected. It's definitely a self conscience thing for sure now. Not baring this body! I guess these are MS war scars but I wish I had never taken it. Now I'm on Rebif. Have had no problems this time around.
