I agree, not sure why contrast was done. I just had a second MRI on Jan 12 and the regular image did not show any white spots but the contrast did. I am only guessing, but contrast is needed in order to see deeper into the brain tissue?

What did the report say that is really all you need to know? What did your doctor say? With contrast means it’s there. Lesions don’t alwsyd show up unless you get contrast. This happens a lot. Contrast is given so you can see lesions aka “light up” aka “glowing spots” ha that‘sound better right? So you get mri and usually it’s long then they give you gadolinium (that’s the contras name) and then it’s real important you lay super still because they scan again and with the contrast enhancement because it get overlapped. But a lot of time if it is glowing that mean it is enhancing or active. But sometimes it’s not active and visible still. I’m not sure this is like super medically correct but your doctor should tell you everything. Trying to read a radiology report is like trying to read mandirin lol
