Members discussed how they handled the 24-month Medicare wait after SSDI approval in the USA, sharing a wide range of approaches based on their personal situations. Several members mentioned qualifying for Medicaid through their state, especially those with little to no income, while others relied on COBRA, a spouse's insurance, or employer coverage to bridge the gap. A recurring theme was the financial strain of this waiting period, with some members burning through savings and one paying $1,600 a month for COBRA, but many found helpful local and state programs that eased the burden.

I have medicare andhoriyon as my secondary. I pay 240.00 a month for it. As a third insurance I have medicaid. I keep my secondary because I don't want to leave my MS Dr so I need to keep my supplement. Ocrevus is pd. In full.

I got humana with medicare. I don't have to pay anything. My dad did it all for me. I didn't have to wait more than a couple weeks.
