I suffer badly with depression to the point i have lost hope. I had to leave a job that i had and enjoyed. My relationship crumbled in the first year of diagnosis back in 2016. My whole life changed before my life. Does anyone ever blame themselves for everything? And feel guilty for being ill? I can't work now and i just feel worthless. However, i am converting and looking towards buddhism. Also if anyone is struggling and needs help in anyway with the mental struggles of diagnosis and illness… read more

I was married for 25 years and my husband could not deal with my MS diagnosis. It was all about him ad when the focus shifted to me, he became abusive and I had to get out. I was NEVER going to get married again. A few years later I met the most amazing man. MS is not a problem. he loves me for me. We have been together for 10 years now and married for 3 1/2 of those years. As I have deteriorated he has become my carer and nothing is ever too much trouble for him. I don't say this to brag. I say this to give hope that there is someone out there for each and every one of us and to stay strong and know that you are loved xx

Thank you for this. I tend to feel like it's my fault. I made a lot of poor life choices and didn't really take care of my body for the last 5 years leading up to my diagnosis, and I'm constantly beating myself up for it. I've found inner peace through volunteering - I'm now a Big Sister as well as just completed training at the local woman's shelter. I'm going to check out the book!

Jaz, so sorry to hear you are going through this. I agree with you about antidepressants. They only mask the problem. Happy to hear the book is helping you. I have some good, close friends and n amazing husband who refuse to let me sink down and are always around for support. I hope you have this help in your life also xx
