I have been getting these sudden onsets of chest/upper back pain. Sometimes it is accompanied by a lump in my throat. They last for 15 to 20 minutes and slowly resolve on their own. I have had a CT scan, had cardio work-up (with a stress echocardiogram), seen a gastroenteroligist, and had ulrasounds of my gallbladder and liver. I do have MS, but my neurologist insists that this is not how the MS hug presents. Has anyone experienced anything like this?
I remembered going to the docs complaining of sore ribs. Felt like I had been in a boxing ring. The last few years it all fell into place. I went to hospital not being able to behave. Once I got the right doc then I knew it was the hug.
I was diagnosed with ms in Oct 2017. Obviously I've had it a lot longer! I remember experiencing this chest pain, sore to breathe thing since I was in my teens, I'm 52 now. Isn't it strange how things fall into place♡
Yes I’ve been having the same thing. I hate it
Sometimes it feels like I have been in a boxing ring. Had complained to docs about this for years until I was diagnosed. It feels like someone has squeezed my ribs and at times hard to breath. Just have to rest
I describe my MS Hug as like an ever tightening corset without the benefits of a corset.
