Does anyone have any trouble walking? I just was diagnosed with MS and in the past month my foot will start hurting after walking or standing 4 hours or more. Then around my thigh area, I’ll start getting a burning sensation. Once I sit down, my feet/legs will feel like they are tingling as if they were going to “sleep”
Anyone else have this problem?
I started using a walker when I go outside for a walk. I put it off because I was embarrassed. But I need to walk so I don't lose the ability. Yes standing in one place is difficult for me also.
I work retail so I'm on my feet for about 5 hours a day. Sometimes my feet/ legs will start hurting really bad to the point I'll have to sit down. Sometimes my shins will start burning like my actual bone is on fire. And then my toes will go numb if I don't rest.
I get the tingling in my feet/legs and hands/arms. I also have the heavy legs feeling. That's such a good description by @A MyMSTeam Member of feeling your legs are cased in cement as they are so heavy - I can so agree with that.
Yes this happens to me quite often. I also get the feeling my legs are cased in cement there so heavy.
Walking is usually ok for me (other than being wobbly at times) but it's the standing for long periods that get me. It feels like i just walked up like 12 flights of stairs or something.
