Hello , I was wondering if anyone is or has taken LEMTRADA. My doctor suggested that I start on this medication and I dont know why but after they gave me OCREVUS and I was hospitalized almlst the whole month of December , im terrified of getting any new medication. Can someone let me know if you have taken it or are currently taking it and if you had any side effects ?

Hi @CamillaBonilla! I understand your hesitation in trying another drug. One month in hospital? Oh my!

Hey, I hope I can add you to my team?

Ok, I have taken Lemtrada. It is an infusion involving a 5 day process on year one. And year 2 you do it for 3 days. The results: 2 years in a row of no new lesions on Mri's.

This is 👍good. I had NO side effects during the process. However, It does not remove what progression is already there. SO, I have had an average of 2-3 major flare ups each year. Each caused by coming in contact w/ sick person. That triggered immune system bomb....so to speak.

Lemtrada is working for me so far. Results can vary per person. One tip: It does involve iv steroid & other meds so drink, drink, drink water. I mean like 100 oz daily; Not kidding! The water intake helps to keep things moving as the Lemtrada moves through you.

Please present any & all questions you may have to your neuro! Continue to do research on it to be more familiarized.

Best,

Danny😎

I was told I had to get off of Ocrevous because it was not working anymore as I had relapsed really bad. I have already taken almost every medication there is. My next medication is Lemtrada but I have to be detoxed completely from this medication. I took my Last Ocrevous Sometime In December I have to got steroids for a week sometime in January. I got blood work done last week my numbers are not where they should be. I have to wait for the insurance to approve one more infusion of steroids so my numbers can be better. I should start my Lemtrada sometime in March. Right now I am not taking any medication aside from my daily medications for PBA, Walking, my migraines, Urognecologist, etc etc etc good luck to everyone who is going to start a new medication. Hugs to everyone! Stay positive! Smile you’re alive God Bless You !

TashaS: I'm glad ibuprofen works for you. Hey, Whatever it takes. That seems like a lot but sometimes we have to resort to drastic measures.

Sleep deprivation is torment and negatively effects the mind.

Good night 🌙

Believe it or not, DannyOlivirei the only thing that'll put me to sleep is ibuprofen 200mg. I take 5 of them. It's crazy, sleeping meds don't work for me. That Ibuprofen works for me.
