So I've read that switching to the Mediterranean diet benefits people with MS. I'm confused to what it is. Beginning this year I have stopped eating red meat and begun eating more fish. Do any of you stick to a certain diet? If so, what is it? Do you see any benefits to it snd if so, what are they?

Here is the information about the diet for multiple sclerosis from the knowledge base:

Diet for Multiple Sclerosis
- General Recommendation: People with multiple sclerosis (MS) feel their best when they consistently eat a healthy, balanced diet. Most physicians who specialize in MS recommend a low-fat, high-fiber diet.
- Challenges:
- Fatigue or Physical Disabilities: These may make it more difficult to find the energy to prepare fresh, healthy meals.
- Accessibility: Depending on where you live, it may be harder to get to a grocery store with a good selection of produce and other healthy foods.
- Tips:
- Batch Cooking: Making large batches of food in advance and freezing several portions can help conserve energy.
- Exploring New Foods: Think of diet changes as a chance to explore unfamiliar foods and find new favorites. Many recipe books focus on low-fat, high-fiber cooking and provide a wealth of exciting ideas.

Specific Diets
- Swank Diet:
- Focus: Low-fat diet.
- Benefits: Found to reduce fatigue and boost quality of life for people with MS.
- Keto Diet:
- Focus: High-fat, low-carbohydrate diet.
- Benefits: May help reduce MS-related inflammation.

Research Findings
- 2014 Study:
- Participants: 2,087 people with MS.
- Findings: Those with healthy consumption of fruit, vegetables, and dietary fat had significantly higher quality of life and lower rates of disability than those with unhealthy diets. Better diet also indicated marginal improvements in relapse rate and disease activity.

Im not sure if i could go full on vegan but I have considered going vegetarian. I've also considered removing gluten. I just need to do some more research.

Became a vegan 2yrs ago... I also work out with a trainer 5x a week. Since making these 2 big changes in my life I have lost 30 lbs. Notice I have less issues with my balance and no fatigue. This what I had to do to help me live the best life I could.
Everyone is different we have to keep on trying until we find out what works for us.
Sending a special (Angel) to keep watching over the entire team
