It may have nothing to da with MS. Now MS makes it worse. You could have pinched nerves associated with degenerative disks. I suggest you have a neck and back MRI and you you see a neuro surgeon. I had back surgery and after the pain in my back and legs disappeared. Same with the neck.

Could be cervical lesions. I have cervical myopathy and get Botox shots.

@A MyMSTeam Member I have been using my TENS unit for neck and back pain and it works for pain relief without the use of medication. When did this problem begin and have you been to your PCP to check out what might be going on? They can order imaging, probably x-ray or CT scan to see if your spine is having any non-MS related problems?

I’ve lived with chronic back pain since college when I was a referee for ROTC intramural football game and got hit by a linebacker, popped up in the air and landed on my tailbone. Over the years since I’ve had numerous sessions of PT for it, Steroid injections and am currently waiting for it to be safe enough to have day surgery to have a disc replaced in my cervical spine.

CT scan can also show if there’s anything going on, including MS lesions. CT scan inadvertently found what turned out to be my first MS lesion before I even had any symptoms. Back to TENS unit, here’s a link to more information about it:

Apparently according to my neuro back pain and neck pain is not due to ms...i duno of i think that is right or not. But apparently its due to pur postures. Mine is not good anyway. So i bought myself a back brace waiting for it. And also i take cbd oil which takes the edge off for me. But sometimes i just lay on my bed.

I'm so sorry to hear that you are in such pain with your back and neck and that none of your pain relief is working. Do you have access to a tens machine? That could possibly help you. Are you due to have a MRI scan anytime soon? Good luck with your appointment and may God bless you sweetheart. XXX 😚🤗
