I find I bruise easier and half the time I don't remember banging on anything. My bruises stay longer as well

Members responded to a question about whether MS causes easier bruising and longer healing, with many sharing that they experience the same thing and often can't remember what caused their bruises. Several members noted possible reasons, including aging, immunosuppressant medications like Ocrevus, and daily aspirin use with Tecfidera, which can affect clotting. A recurring theme was curiosity about whether this is a documented MS symptom, with one member noting a background in microbiology and offering to research the connection further.

I don't understand the ease-of-bruising aspect re: MS. It might be helpful to quit the aspirin and start taking acetaminophen (e.g. Tylenol) instead unless there is some medical contraindication (aspirin promotes bleeding by inhibiting clotting). I will do a bit of research about "MS and ease-of-bruising" and report back on this site. BTW, I have degrees in Microbiology and Immunochemistry. I'm NOT bragging; I just wanna bolster some credibility.

I have the exact same experience! However, my bruises aren't painful (usually), just dark in color. Does this ease-in-bruising suggest changes in micro-vascularization? Seems so. Is this a known and well-documented MS outcome or symptom? Curious. Thoughts???? (Best to you all!)

Ditto for bruising and their duration.

The question is why: Due to aging? Due to being on an immuno-suppressant DMT (Ocrevus in my case)? Could be either or both.
