Well, going out of the House is Always something I've looked forward to. But since the Pandemic Started, I was as You in the Beginning, Worried that I would Get that Virous, so did Not do Much at all.

But then as the Recommendations came out from the CDC, I did exactly what was recommended, and stayed My Distance from others, atleast until the State stayed that there was a 70% Inoculation in the State, Making Me Feel Much Better.

So, Eventhough I drive for My Wife, place to place, If I am in a Tight area such as the Parking Lot of a Bussiness, I'm Wearing My Mask, to thwart off the Inprobables the Best I can! As I am Most likely still Seated in The Drivers Seat.

So, always try to stay one step infront of the Possibility. I have already been under that Virous's Grip long time ago, and Glad to have made it Out unscathed, except the 6 Weeks of Bed Rest! But that was when there wasn't Even a Name given for My illness. Just that it was a Bad Flu Bug. Which in the Ending, it was a Really Bad Bug!

In short, Just Be Proactive in Your Health. Anything Added is just Extra help in that.

Pre pandemic life there was risk but nothing too deadly, you said compromised immune system which is key, it doesn't mean no immune system as some tend to think.
When it comes to covid, 8 billion people are in the same boat as regards having no immunity and unknown effects should they catch it.
As regards the future, having had both doses of vaccine, it's as good as it's going to get for a while so I'm relatively chilled. Won't be going to the cinema or groups of people scenarios cos I still don't want to get it but happy to see friends and family in normal life fashion.
The vaccines seem to be working effectively against death and serious illness, if I get covid and just feel a bit under the weather for a few days it'll be a barely noticeable experience in the world of living with MS.

Pre-pandemic, I think I was always more careful during the winter months, as respiratory illnesses are more prevalent those months. I never wore masks before when on a DMT, until the pandemic hit. After the pandemic now, and hearing that COVID is still out there and ravaging other countries and so many people in the US not wanting to get vaccinated, I am concerned too. If we were in a situation of true "herd" immunity in the US that would help definitely in making decisions, but we are not there yet. I will still social distance and wash my hands well. I would not really be concerned outside, but if crowded on public transport, flying, in an area that I cannot social distance or in an area where there are others who are visible ill or fighting a "cold", I would still feel most comfortable wearing a mask at present. (I would not have worn one in the past, pre-pandemic. I guess the pandemic has changed all of us a bit.😉) Good luck and do what makes YOU comfortable. I have been on several DMT's in the past and have always planned my surgeries or the getting of my flu vaccine, with the help of my physicians. They can give you the best help there.
It is still somewhat concerning out there, but being fully vaccinated I do feel protected.

I went to the grocery store unmasked for the first time yesterday. I am fully vaccinated and still questioned using my mask and would if in an uncomfortable situation. But what a thrill yesterday!!!

Hi! I'm on Ocrevus and also have been fully vaccinated. I live it Texas so my state has been loosening the restrictions since early 2021. We did wear masks, social distance, we didn't do in-person meetings at work but were still at our desks, and took the necessary precautions.

I had to go to an office for work during the pandemic (I was furloughed for only 3 months before being called back into work.)

I still wear a mask time to time, wash hands, and sanitize (which is just a healthy habit) but other than that my post-pandemic life if pretty normal.
