I have been hoarse lately and at first thought it was allergies or a cold but no allergy or cold meds help and there are never any other allergy or cold symptoms either other than hoarseness that never goes away. I asked my GP about it and she said MS can affect vocal cords too :/ not too happy about this as I like to secretly sing, no one knows I sing except close friends and family but I do like to do that
Yes, Cincinatalie, I also have COPD, my inhalers, and nebulizer prescription if I don't rinse my mouth and gargle with salt water I get hoarse. I use Himalayan salt for that and most of my salting needs. Interesting to discover that so many things I think are caused by one thing could also be caused by my MS! I learn something new everyday!
Yes, Cincinatalie. I get hoarse a lot. All I do is gargle with salt water or vinegar. Sometimes it works and other times it don't. Sometime I don't know what to do?
Hi Natalie- I've experienced random changes with my vocal cords. My voice being grainy or even cracking like I'm going through puberty ๐. Except I'm a 42 year old female. Haha! Doesn't happen very often, but I know what you're talking about.
Yes! Ive had a very hoarse, squeaky voice for a few months now.
Yea I'm not on medication yet, I am a newbie of MS...unfortunately :(
