I did not have mouth pain however, my facial cheeks did go numb with a sensation that I was in a dental chair being injected with novacaine. A MRI showed a new lesion that the Neurologist stated was located in an area causing the numbness. Our body is made up of nerves communicating muscles. MS can disrupt that communication and no 2 individuals have the exact same disruption

Before I was diagnosed with MS I went thru what I learned later was Trigeminal Neuralgia. The pain was really bad. I went to my dentist with the pain, x-rays showing nothing. I was sent to a specialist & again no sign of anything with my teeth or gums. The only thing they could determine was Trigeminul Neuralgia. This goes way back, Many years ago so don't remember if their was treatment. It just went away. And thankfully have never experienced it again.
After I was diagnosed with MS it was interesting to find this was a symptoms of MS.

Yes, I, am experiencing this now. This is not always there however it comes and goes just as You have described This Pain.

I have jaw pain caused by tight muscles,spasticity in my face jaw neck, thought my issue was TMJ prior to being diagnosed with MS- even had an expensive mouth guard made which actually caused me more pain.
On super bad days I put heat on it to try and relax the muscles even more, also take Baclofen and klonopin to help it

I can relate to this way to much! I i was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia about 3 months ago. My pain is on the left side of my mouth and it feels like i have a ear ache and huge cavity in all of my teeth at the same time. Top and bottom. Its horrible. I was put on medication and its helped a bit. My dr says its due to the MS. I was on ocreavus and it wasnt properly working. I got quite a few new symptoms bc of the failed medication and this is by far the worst. I can barely eat and the things i do eat have to be so soft…its the worst. I hope you feel better
