I have an appointment on Wednesday with a possible new primary. I'm making a list of things to tell them ( i can't figure out how to send over my old records from Kaiser ) and questions to ask to see if it's a good fit. What are things you ask new doctors and other things you tell them initial appointment?

Is there a patient portal that you could print from? All docs in our town are officed on the second floor of our hospital. They will print as many CDs (it’s in a weird medical format that would need software to open every item) that I want. Free! I keep them everywhere! Purse, formerly the car, in home. Never know when you’ll need them!

FWIW, Dr. Boster has some tips for preparation for your neurologist here: ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoZTrNANA6A). That should give you some ideas.

His advice about writing questions down and giving a copy to your doctor -- who will feel ethically obliged to answer and has to answer truthfully -- applies to any doctor. I've use that tactic for other doctors.
