That issue is called
'position placement' and also covers things like constantly tripping, bcuz the brain is not correctly directing the feet. i broke multiple toe bones multiple times from walking into door jams and foot stools, etc.

I've not had that happen with my fingers. I do bite the inside of my cheeks and lower lip, even when being careful just seems to happen.
