Does anyone else have OTHER conditions after finding out their MS diagnosis? And do you see multiple docs? Or just your one MS doc?? I’m secretly baffled and upset she won’t just deal with ALL the things…
I do. People who have one autoimune disorder are at higher risk of developing another one. Also i have some bladder problems cause of ms and i see urologist for them. Where I'm from one neurologist don't even treat demyelination and epilepsy at the same time, so they at least consult with each other if you have different neurological problems, but I had to see other neurologist to deal with some other problem.
Yes I have been diagnosed with Coeliac disease and IBS (2021) I was Diagnosed RRMS 2005. I think once you have one autoimmune condition you are at higher risk of having another unfortunately 😔
I'm not sure if you are replying to my answer of my team...my primary is in Virginia (as am I) my Neuro is in NC (3 hrs. away). Some of the other specialists are in TN. I make sure on my forms that all copies and updates go to my Primary and Neuro. Most people use those forms for family contacts. For me, it started with a great PrimaryCare and an excellent MS Neuro (despite the distance). My insurance company takes me to and from my apts. That way I don't worry about asking family, friends or taking the trek on my own.
Thanks! Where do YOU live? My “team” unfortunately does not seem to communicate THAT effectively..
I kind of AGREE!!! Gotta be so special! 😉 (sorry to hear abt the Crohn’s, too!!)
