Beg the question-what symptoms does manic depression/bipolar disorder have then after hearing their response or lack thereof, ask them if it causes this symptom or that symptom. Or you could find Chris Falconer on here and find his pictures of all the symptoms, copy and print them out and show them to whoever is trying to dispute with you. If they still don't get it, find some other people to interact and affiliate yourself with. Take comfort and solace in the fact that there are many, including myself, who are going through the same thing and even worse.
MS can be depressing but it does not make you manic! It is completely different! Do they expect you to be happy about an incurable life altering desie?
