OKC, OK

I have had a bunch of dental problems since October. From broken teeth to most recently 3 root canals. But, I've had routine dental care with no problems for many years up until then
Over the past month or so, I have had pain mostly on the left upper side. My dentist says there is nothing he can see to cause the pain. It feels like empty tooth socket, fresh after having a tooth pulled. It feels like it does when you brush your teeth and the bristles hit the empty socket. But, I did not just… read more

I had the pain and they said it was tmj before being diagnosed with MS. Drove me crazy and I thought when I had my wisdom teeth cut out, it would stop; problem solved so I thought🙄. The jaw clenching, teeth grinding, facial pain, and teary eyes began. Tooth pain is worse than natural child birth😂. Talk to your neurologist and your pcp and see if your bloodwork showed any vitamin deficiencies. Also brain MRI will show if the blood barrier is leaking ( not what you think). TN is hard to diagnose with MS because of similarities and after they suspect MS, TN is not thought of. I went down and diagnosis were thrown at me; didn't know anything and had to educate myself and take control of my health with an open mind.

Part of some people's MS includes what you're talking about. @A MyMSTeam Member, can you pipe in on this? You've had jaw pain from the Trigeminal nerve, this is perhaps whats being discussed?

I’ve had all 4 wisdom teeth cut out in 6 grade and broke 3 more that I had pulled. I eat fine but doing my best not to brake anymore.

1. implants in our situation MUST BE of a substance that doesn't interrupt an MRI
2. once my brain has registered an experience: pain, scent, sight, impression or some other memory, MY BRAIN will regurgitate it whenever it wants. I smell things that aren't there, feel things i have felt but do not presently - bambambam - for no reason resurrects something and forces itself on me

Yeah, it does sound like pain I've had when brushing sometimes since being told I have Trigeminal Neuralgia.
@A MyMSTeam Member - Go and talk with your Neurologist about it. Though, about a month or so ago I was having tooth pain on one tooth when I brushed it, or even just touched it. The dentist said that he could see no reason for my pain. Since just touching it was painful, so I couldn't brush it, I had it pulled, which helped. Talking with your Neuro would be good because he/she might try a med that helps, and that would let them/you know what's causing the pain. Good luck. I know how MUCH tooth pain sucks, big time.
