I've had MS for about 20 years, and each year the problem with Leg Cramps at night seems to gets worse. I have serious issues with my legs getting very overheated at bedtime, even with the Central A/C on. I run a fan all night and kick off the blankets, but because my legs are so overheated and I usually just can't feel the cold on my legs, I end up with one or both legs in a blood-curdling painful cramp in the middle of the night. I've been prescribed Baclofen for this, but it doesn't always… read more

I do take Baclofin to help but also take Magnesium supplement, it seems to help. I also do 3 sets of squats before going to bed, I try to do them every night. 3 sets of 30 squats. They say don’t exercise before bed but it seems to help me. I have my walker in front of me and the bed directly behind me. Just in case I can’t make it up. I feel it behind me when I’m doing them.put your walker about a foot or a little more away from the bed. You can feel your butt touching it every time you squat down. You have your walker to help you with your balance.

Not certain if this will help however it does to a point for me. I have very similar symptoms in my legs n feet at night. The only way I can calm them is rub lotion all over them. Putting pressure on all the areas. ( as a massage) unfortunately then my arms feel feel weak but that's easier to tolerate. Wish you well.

YES! Im in misery. Showers leave me in red welt looking areas on my legs. The icy hot feelings began a couple months ago, during and after showers. Now its all the time and i am used to it as a normal thing now. But the cramping in legs ahs been on and off for over a year. It got worse last summer and the past couple of months has increased but in shorter duration. The sudden jolts in foot or leg has increased. And the wasp stings just started back up again. It has been about a month since I felt them. As far as heat on legs while asleep, yes. I keep 3 fans going. And my AC is set at 66 to 67. My electric bill is outrageous. Its just me and my dog here.
