My daughter asked me the other day when was the last time I had my hearing checked. I’ve also noticed that some days I have the television up pretty loud 😕. I know that MS sometimes affects your vision. Does it affect your hearing too?

I lost the hearing in my right ear when I was in college.. learned to live with it.. all hearing loss is due to nerve damage.. recently had my hearing checked again for a new aid for my one ear.. He tested both, due to age, I have some loss in the other ear.. so, now I wear aids in both ears.. tell ya the truth, it makes life better..
I might be wrong (I'm not a neurologist) but as far as I know, the central nervous system consists of brain, spinal cord and optic nerves so these are the areas vulnerable to damage by MS but your hearing is not part of the CNS. It's part of the peripheral nervous system so, theoretically, less vulnerable.
MS can affect any and all parts of our central nervous system. I had my hearing tested and the report said I “hear like a bat”, so maybe in a previous life I was a bat. Now I’m a “old battle axe”..
I'm Alone
Okay yeah it sucks but I've got to be tough Things have become the epitome of rough
I cant cower and give up
I do everything on my own
But need help I'm not so strong
And my pride won't let me ask So Im more than just mad
I'm Alone
There are wet pillows on my bedroom
I cry on the dark
Knowing that if I did it during the day
Others would question my heart So yeah
I'm Alone
Ive got plans on starting a family
But not just yet It's been a while I know
However my potential better half is so cautious
She's still saying we just met?
Oh good grief
