Hi James - YES, I have both MS and PD. I've asked the same question and you're the first person that I've met with both. With my experience, its best to treat both conditions for maximum benefit. In my case, we were just treating the MS and I was still having a lot of unwanted symptoms. Now that my neurologist is treating both (after a DAT scan to diagnose the PD) I seem to be doing better. I'm also open to alternative treatments too. Please reach out to me and I'll go into more detail. All the Best!!
I've had MS for 36 years & my dad's had Parkinson's for about 20 years. My dad's as ok as he can be but only because my mum does everthing for him 24/7. It's impossible to live alone with Parkinson's Disease alone in the later stages.
I hope not. I have MS and my dad has Parkinson's. Parkinson's is a horrible, cruel disease!
