I don't know about the hip pain as mine is caused from Osteoarthritis and not my MS. But my shoulder pain and problems are indirectly caused by the MS. I have PPMS and have had walking problems from the start and began with a can and progressed to crutches (both wooden and cuffed) then went to using a walker and finally a manual w/c. All this did a job on my roto cuffs, and they are now un major need of repair, but my health is so poor that the only time I have surgery is when it is absolutely necessary. I use Voltran Cream on my shoulders, and it helps a lot. I would suggest you talk with your neurologist and ask him if it would help to see an orthopedic doctor. If your MD dismiss a lot of what you tell him/her I would seriously think about finding a new one who will listen. Hopefully you can get this resolved soon because shoulder pain makes it hard to do things you enjoy doing.
Dr's. are limited as to the pain epmedication they can prescribe, amount, refills. See above, Too easy to abuse. Have you tried Ibuprophen or Naproxyn, I would also use heat or ice. Bag of frozen peas or corn works well. Don't place directly on skin.
chiropractor worked for me.
Drs are so afraid of pain after the opioid epidemic and the government crackdown this is now always an issue.
My 38 year old son had 5 knee surgeries and was in constant pain- he then found Kratom that helped a bit.. last orthopedic Dr told him there was as nothing wrong.. the Kratom ended up taking his life just feet away from me with EMTs Ii believe the proper pain med would not have killed him😡💔
