Medicare helps pay for most of my meds except for the main one, Gilenya which is provided at no cost to me thank God, (it costs ~$14,000/month last time I checked) under their patients assistance program.
It's been my experience that most pharmaceutical companies have such programs. There's hoops to be jumped through and limited enrollment available but well worth it
Medicare does cover medications for treating multiple sclerosis (MS), but the coverage depends on the type of medication and the specific Medicare plan:
- Oral Medications: These are covered under a Part D drug plan or a Medicare Advantage plan if the specific drug is included in the plan's formulary
- Infusions and Show Full Answer
Thanks 👍
Medicare pays for all of mine but one.
Even with my Advantage plan, if I could have found a pharmacy that carried what I was prescribed, I couldn't have afforded it. But every plan is different. I ended up going through the patience assistance program.
