I have physical therapy twice a week and outside of that, I walk, but nothing strenuous or that will increase my fatigue. Everyone's strategy is different. Some can do more than others.
I don't have to push myself if it's the right time of the day and if I've had my sleep. I walk every day except Sunday. I don't alwaysxwalk a mile. But I keep my body moving to the best of my ability. It helps my mood and my pain.
Marilyn Gemma I'm sorry to hear you're having alot of trouble walking. I'm having the same problem but I stay out of my wheelchair until I know I am pushing too much. When you start to feel more unsteady, it's time to stop. God Bless you, do only what you.
My exercise in water help the pain. That's a win/win.
I try to do some exercises 3 times a week. 5 is better, because I'm old enough to lose muscle rapidly. (Sarcopenia) But I have to keep the MS in mind. And osteoporosis is my main motivator. Building muscle stresses the bones in a good way, which triggers them to make stronger bones. As with others' stories, exercise can address several conditions at once. And your body knows when you're trying to do too much. Thanks for the question, and the answers. I'll know, from now on, that y'all are out there working out too. Bend, and stretch, and gasp, and groan! 🤗
